# Pause Before You Send a Long Paragraph
If your draft is a screen tall, cut it in half before you send it. Early chats die under essays.
Leave one question, not three. People answer the easiest line and skip the rest, or they skip all of it.
A short note is easier to answer on a bus. Save the longer story for when you are actually sitting together.
