# Making Funny Incorrect Quotes for Fandom and OCs

Sometimes you just want a quick laugh for your group chat or your fandom blog: a short, out-of-context exchange between characters you love. Incorrect Quotes Generator is a free web tool that turns your characters into that kind of dialogue. You enter 1–6 names, choose pronouns and a vibe, and it picks a quote from a library of hand-written templates. This page looks at generating incorrect quotes and the workflow around it; if you want to try it while reading, see [a free generator for funny incorrect quotes (free, no sign-up)](https://incorrectquotes.app/).

## How to make an incorrect quote

1. Go to [the Incorrect Quotes web app (favorites)](https://incorrectquotes.app/); it works on desktop and mobile and is free to use.
2. Enter the names of the characters you want in the scene, anywhere from 1 to 6.
3. Set pronouns so the template reads correctly (they/she/he/custom).
4. Use the vibe filter to steer the tone.
5. Generate, then copy the text or the image, or save the quote to favorites (stored locally).
6. Export the card as a PNG in one of five sizes, or grab all five as a ZIP.

## What it does

- **1–6 characters:** templates cover solo lines, pairs, trios and larger casts.
- **PNG export in five sizes, plus ZIP:** get a share-ready quote card for different platforms.
- **500+ hand-written templates:** the library is written by people, not generated.
- **Private by design:** everything runs locally in the browser, with no account and no uploads.
- **Pronoun-aware templates:** choose they, she, he, or custom pronouns so every line reads naturally.
- **Favorites saved locally:** keep the lines you like on your own device.

## Use cases

- **Ship content:** Pair two characters, switch the vibe, and see what kind of chemistry the lines suggest.
- **Discord servers:** Drop a quote card into a roleplay or fandom server to start a conversation.
- **Writing warm-ups:** Use a random template as a prompt and then rewrite it in your own voice.
- **Fan fiction planning:** Borrow a line as a scene seed and expand it into a longer chapter.

## Extra tools

Beyond the main generator, the site includes extra tools: Make it a Quote for photo quote cards, a Quote Image Maker, a Discord quote maker, a fake chat generator, dialogue prompts, and OTP / ship prompts. Together they cover most of what fandom posters need for quick, funny content.

## What it is not

It is not an AI chatbot and it does not need a Discord bot. The templates are written by hand, the tool is free with no paid tier, and there is no sign-up. It is meant for fun fandom and OC content, so use it for jokes, prompts and shareable cards.

## Summary

Incorrect Quotes Generator is free, browser-based, and quick: names in, pronouns and vibe set, a quote card out. Start at https://incorrectquotes.app/ and export your first card in a minute.
